The Oukitel WP300 is a new and partially modular smartphone. Depending on the module, it either sports an additional LED light on the back or a wireless headset that can also be used as a smartwatch.
Oukitel has introduced the new WP300. It’s advertised as a modular smartphone which can be equipped with one of two different modules on the back. For instance, an additional LED light fits on a wristband and can be used for camping or other outdoor activities. Alternatively, an extra display module works as a smartwatch or wireless earbud. This module can also display notifications and measure the users’ heart rate via an optical sensor.
The new Oukitel rugged smartphone measures around 7 x 3.2 x 1 inches and comes with IP69, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The main camera has a resolution of 108 megapixels, while the front camera has 32 megapixels. The Oukitel WP300 runs on Android 15 out of the box and features a 6.78-inch display with 2460 x 1080 pixels, 650 nits of brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Additionally, the 16,000mAh battery is pretty large and can be charged with up to 45 watts, which is quick but not extremely fast. The Oukitel WP300 can also reverse-charge other devices with up to 18 watts. The Chinese smartphone maker further advertises a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and NFC, but users apparently have to choose between dual-SIM operation and storage expansion via microSD. The WP300 has an official price tag of $599, but early adopters can get the new phone for $399 by registering their email address on the corresponding landing page.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
