Vivo has introduced its latest Y300 GT smartphone in China. Vivo’s new mid-range smartphone boasts similar features to the iQoo Z10 Turbo, including a FHD+ 144 Hz display, a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor, and a large 7,620 mAh battery that supports 90 W fast charging. The device is now on sale in China via Vivo’s online store.

Vivo has expanded its Y300 series portfolio by introducing the latest member, the Vivo Y300 GT, in its home turf. The company’s new mid-range smartphone comes as a direct successor to the Vivo Y200 GT and brings significant upgrades in terms of display, processor, and battery. Speaking of design, the smartphone features the same design and retains similar specifications as iQoo’s recently announced Z10 Turbo device.

The Vivo Y300 GT sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that outputs at a 1.5K resolution with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and up to 5,500 nits of peak brightness. Plus, the panel also has SGS low blue light and low flicker certification. The phone retains similar camera specs from the last-generation model, featuring a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main camera paired with a 2 MP depth sensor. Upfront, it has a 16 MP camera for selfies and video chats.

This time around, Vivo went with a MediaTek chipset. The 5G-enabled smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset coupled with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage with no room for storage expansion. Furthermore, it runs on Android 15-based Origin OS 5 out of the box. However, there’s no word on the software support from the brand.

The key upgrades also come to the battery department. The smartphone now boasts a larger battery than before. A 7,620 mAh battery (up from 6,000 mAh of the Y200 GT) powers the internals and supports 90 W (up from 80 W of its predecessor) wired charging. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support wireless charging. Dimension-wise, the smartphone measures 8.09 mm (0.31 inches) in thickness and weighs around 212 grams (0.46 lbs).

The Vivo Y300 GT starts at CNY 1,899 ($263) for the base 8 GB + 256 GB model, while the top-end 12 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at CNY 2,399 ($332). Available in desert gold and black colorways, the device is now on sale in China via Vivo’s online store.
