The Ace 5 series' supposedly upcoming flagship is to launch as the Supreme Edition rather than the Ultimate Edition, according to @ZionsAnvin on X.
The tipster claims to have found it on Geekbench as the OnePlus PLC110 with what looks like the Dimensity 9400+ SoC.
Accordingly, the "Supreme Edition's" platform, while the latest and greatest MediaTek has to offer, might not have the same cachet as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite of the Ace 5 Pro.
Then again, a new post from another well-known, reliable leaker might be a strong hint that OnePlus will boost the 9400+ with its Fengchi Gaming Core system in the Ace 5 Supreme Edition.
Digital Chat Station seems to back the combination to turn the smartphone into a flat-screened performance hot-shot - one that might also come with "coaxial symmetrical dual speakers" and haptics that might have been "customized" for improved feedback.
The Ace 5 Supreme Edition is thought to have IP68-level dust- and water-proofing compared to IP65 in the 5 and 5 Pro, and to have an even bigger battery than the latter (at 6,100mAh), even though it will have the same 100W SuperVOOC wired charging.
The same technology is also found in OnePlus' 13 flagship for the global market, which is currently available on Amazon. However, the same might never be said for the Ace 5 Supreme Edition, as it might be exclusive to China.
It is thought to launch there soon alongside the new Ace 5E, with a newer yet less powerful Dimensity 9000-series chipset.
