The GT 6 is the closest thing to a flagship smartphone released to India by Realme in 2024 - it could in truth be thought of more of an efficiency specialist thanks to its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset (although it did also have a "6,000-nit" display).
By contrast, Realme India now asserts that its upcoming GT 7 can deliver "Power that Never Stops", which, according to the latest leaks, is owed to a switch to MediaTek silicon.
It will be accompanied by a 7T sibling, and have allegedly been spotted as the Realme RMX5061 and RMX5085 respectively on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database prior to their launch.
Geekbench listings for these model numbers link them to the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ and 8400 SoCs respectively - which, if accurate, means that the GT 7 is not the smartphone of the same name for the Chinese market.
The world's current and only official GT7 is powered by the newer Dimensity 9400+ instead, which might mean that the Indian version is in fact a re-branded Neo 7.
It follows that the 7T could be the Neo 7 SE in disguise. It and its sibling could be very welcome in India by any name nonetheless as they both have exceptionally large 7,000mAh batteries with appreciably fast 80W wired charging.
Hopefully, these specs have been cleared for inclusion in their putative new India-specific SKUs. In the meantime, both handsets are thought to pack 12GB of RAM and Android 15.
