Realme has now confirmed that its next gaming smartphone will be officially launching next week. Arriving shortly after Vivo introduces the X200s and X200 Ultra, the Realme GT7 will combine MediaTek's new Dimensity 9400+ chipset with a 7,200 mAh battery in a housing that is only 8.25 mm thick.

Realme has finally shared more details about the Realme GT7, including a launch date. In a series of new teasers posted on Weibo, Realme has now clarified that the device will debut on April 23, which puts the device's arrival just two days after the introduction of the Vivo X200s and Vivo X200 Ultra.

With Realme having already confirmed that the GT7 would line up with MediaTek's new Dimensity 9400+ chipset, it has now turned its attention towards the device's battery capacity. Previously, there had been rumours that Realme would introduce a device whose battery was nearly 30% larger than the 5,500 mAh capacity inside the GT6 (curr. $496.99 on Amazon). Not only will the Realme GT7 achieve this thanks to a 7,200 mAh battery, but it will do so in a housing that is 0.35 mm thinner than its predecessor at 8.25 mm.

On top of that, the Realme GT7 will top up its huge battery at 100 W using Realme's proprietary charging technology. With that being said, the device will also support USB Type-C Power Delivery for fast wired charging speeds when not using its bundled power adapter, unlike some of its peers.

While Realme has not confirmed all device parameters yet, Digital Chat Station reports that the GT7 will complement its huge battery with a 144 Hz display. Meanwhile, the same leaker reports that the Dimensity 9400+ will put the GT7 in good stead to compete against Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones when gaming. Currently, the Realme GT7 is expected to launch for CNY 4,200 (~$575); global launch pricing will likely be much higher, though.
