The launch of the Vivo X200 Ultra is still over a week away. For context, Vivo has confirmed that the device will launch on April 21 alongside a slew of other devices like the Pad5 Pro and X200s smartphone. Nonetheless, the company has now revealed several key device specifications, evidence of which we have embedded below.
In short, the X200 Ultra should be considerably more powerful than the X100 Ultra while maintaining a slimmer profile and longer battery life. On the one hand, the X200 Ultra features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which surpasses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside the X100 Ultra by almost 30% in our benchmarks. Regardless, the X200 Ultra will be about 5.5% or 0.51 mm than its predecessor at 8.69 mm.
On the other hand, Vivo has increased the battery capacity of its flagship from 5,500 mAh to 6,000 mAh in a single generation. The X200 Ultra will support 40 W wireless and 90 W wired charging, compared to 30 W wireless and 80 W wired charging, respectively, for the X100 Ultra. A 2K OLED display tuned by Zeiss will return too, which Vivo will protect with what it describes as 'Armor glass'.
In other words, the X200 Ultra should shape up well against other recent Ultra flagships like the Find X8 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,079.99 on Amazon). To emphasise that, Vivo executive Han Bo Xiao has now showcased a special camera mode baked into the X200 Ultra's default camera app. Apparently, the upgraded ultra-wide-angle camera allows the device to shoot impressive timelapse video results. The executive suggests that the X200 Ultra outperforms the iPhone 16 Pro Max in this regard too, although we would recommend exercising some caution until independent reviews arrive.
