The iQoo Z10x might not thank its parent corporation Vivo for releasing another new Android smartphone with the same Dimensity 7300 processor. Then again, it has a 5,600mAh battery, compared to 6,500mAh in its iQoo cousin.
The smaller battery does allow the V50e to present itself in a slimmer, Luxury Design chassis in eye-catching, aurora-effect Sapphire Blue or Pearl White colorways.
Both new smartphones have a round ring-flash as part of their camera humps, although the Vivo handset's AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0 is touted to be more versatile and to help deliver different Prosecco, Neo Retro or Pastel filter-like Wedding-Style Portrait Effects that are only found on the Indian market.
The Sony IMX882 is also touted to keep the wedding photography going throughout the event with a "stunning" Night Mode. The V50e also has an ultrawide-angle secondary rear camera, whereas the Z10x does not.
The former also has the better 120Hz FHD+ display on paper, as it is slightly larger at 6.77 inches, supports HDR10+, has 1,800 nits of peak brightness and is, possibly most importantly, AMOLED rather than LCD.
The screen is also protected by Schott Diamond Shield Glass, which contributes to its up-to-date IP68/IP69-rated durability.
The V50e runs Funtouch OS based on Android 15, which is slated to get up to 3 major upgrades as opposed to 2 in the Z10x.
Then again, the iQoo device's internal storage is UFS 3.1, while its Vivo rival lags behind with UFS 2.2.
The Vivo V50e is available to order on Amazon starting at INR 28,999 (~$337) from now, whereas the Z10x will not be available until April 22, 2025.
