Vivo has showcased another new accessory designed for the X20 Ulta ahdad of the device's full debut later this month. To recap, the company revealed plans to release a dedicated Photography Kit for its X100 Ultra successor, full details of which we have covered separately.
At the time, Vivo executives hinted that the X200 Ultra would offer a special fourth rear-facing camera, despite evidently only containing primary, telephoto and ultra-wide-angle cameras. As it turns out, this mysterious fourth camera will come courtesy of a dedicated lens that attaches to the X200 Ultra Photography Kit via an adapter, as the image above shows.
By design, the lens is designed to work with the X200 Ultra's telephoto camera, which outputs at 3.7x optical zoom with a 200 MP native output. According to Vivo, this 13-piece glass lens expands the optical range of this telephoto camera to 8.7x or 70x via hybrid zoom with an f/2.27 aperture.
In other words, this additional lens takes the X200 Ultra's zoom capabilities to a 1,600 mm equivalent focal length. However, Vivo claims that quality starts to dip beyond 800 mm. Vivo will officially reveal the X200 Ultra on April 21 to rival not just the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,084.99 on Amazon) and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but also the Find X8 Ultra that Oppo released earlier today. In the meantime, Vivo has published a short promotional video showcasing the X200 Ultra too, which we have embedded below.
