Motorola's Moto G Stylus series has been exclusive to North America, serving as a more affordable alternative to Samsung's stylus-toting phones. Despite the possibility of the series being popular outside the US, Motorola chose not to launch the Moto G Stylus in other markets until now. Enter the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus which is practically the recently unveiled Moto G Stylus (2025) in everything but name and the processor.
Ahead of the launch on April 15, Motorola India has listed the full specifications and features of the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus, and based on these details, it is impossible not to see how closely related the new Edge 60 series smartphone is to the 2025 edition of the Moto G Stylus.
The Motorola Edge 60 Stylus has a 6.67-inch pOLED 2.5D display with a 2712 x 1220 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and it has Aqua Touch which supports operating it with wet fingers. The phone has a plastic frame, vegan leather back, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. It will also be available in Pantone Surf the Web and Pantone Gibraltar Sea, the same colors as the Moto G Stylus.
Like the Moto G Stylus 2025, it has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and there's a microSD card slot for adding up to an additional 1TB. Where the Edge 60 Stylus differs from the Moto G Stylus is in the processor which is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and not the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
Both phones have a 32MP front-facing camera, a 50MP f/1.8 Sony LYTIA 700C with OIS, and a 13MP 120° ultrawide angle camera that can shoot in macro. The primary rear camera and ultrawide angle sensors can also record in 4K at 30fps and in slow motion at 120fps.
The Motorola Edge 60 Stylus has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an audio jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual SIM support (nano SIM + eSIM). It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. In India, the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus will come with a 68W Turbo power adapter while the Moto G Stylus doesn't ship with a charger in the box in North America.
The product page shows the integrated stylus of the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus can be used in a variety of ways. Users can sketch, write expressions in the Handwriting Calculator app, or jot down ideas in the Moto Note app. It can also be used with Circle to Search.
The price of the Edge 60 Stylus is yet to be revealed but according to a leak, the price is lower than the $399 price tag of the Moto G Stylus 2025. The Motorola Edge 60 Stylus will ship with Android 15 out of the box and receive 2 OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
