Motorola Razr 2025 is on the way and it will be more powerful, have new colors, and charge faster, according to previous leaks. The company will unveil the device on April 24.

The next generation of Motorola Razr phones is launching on April 24, the company has announced. There have been a few leaks regarding the Motorola Razr 2025 series or Motorola Razr 60 series but the company has not shared anything officially, though an official looking promotional video surfaced online last week. The promo video hinted at a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC powering the new devices, suggesting that it will me more powerful than its predecessor, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Motorola US shared a teaser on X revealing the launch date with the tag line, “#MakeItIconic.” The short teaser shows a hot pink, a wood finish, and another color that is hard to see. These are the same colors that were more clearly visible in the official looking promotional video from last week. It is unclear how many phones will be in the series as Motorola typically launches two models, a Razr and a Razr Plus. That being said, several leaks and rumors have mentioned an Ultra model as well, but it is unclear if it will be third addition or if it will replace one of the original two.

The promo video shows the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra (international naming convention) will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, unlike its predecessor, which was powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. This means the new generation Razr phone will be more powerful than last year’s Razr as well as Samsung’s Z Flip 6. However, the Z Flip 7 is also expected to upgrade to the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

It should be noted that no specifications for the Motorola Razr 2025 series have been shared by the company, but leaks have suggested a 4,700 mAh battery, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for a €1,299 (~$1,440) starting price. It is said to support 68W fast charging and a 165 Hz foldable display.
