Motorola has now brought its elegant design to its super affordable smartphones, such as the Moto G15 LTE phone for under $150. We have summarized for you what else the phone can do—apart from looking good—and who we recommend buying it for.

With the release of its new Moto G15, Motorola has proven that an attractive design and useful features don't have to cost an arm and a leg. The smartphone, which is already available for less than $150 (for example from Amazon), made an overall positive impression during our test, particularly in terms of its case and battery life. Its stylish case with a high-quality artificial leather back stands out in this price range.

Another plus of the Moto G15 is its long-lasting 5,200 mAh battery, which ran for almost 17 hours in our WLAN test and therefore promises good endurance for everyday use. Also worth mentioning is the phone's ultra-wide-angle camera, which isn't a matter of course in this price range and offers additional creative possibilities for photography.

The Moto G15 delivers sufficient performance for basic applications and everyday tasks, even if occasional stutters in the system can't be completely ruled out.

The device's low heat development was a positive aspect of our test, even under prolonged load.

In terms of sustainability, we have to praise the Moto G15's relatively low CO2 footprint, as well as its plastic-free packaging. The smartphone's location accuracy proved to be reliable, and its WLAN transmission rates via WiFi 5 were also solid.

Points of criticism during the test included its comparatively slow eMMC storage and somewhat limited RAM of 4 GB. Still, NFC for contactless payment is on board. We praised the design of its case as particularly high-quality for the price range, and the device is protected against splashes of water (IP54).

The Motorola Moto G15 is an attractive budget smartphone that scores some plus points with its long battery life and useful ultra-wide-angle camera. Buyers will have to accept compromises in its display refresh rate and storage speed.
