Motorola has refreshed the Moto G Stylus for 2025. Potentially a preview of the future Edge 60 Stylus in some areas, the Moto G Stylus 2025 features an updated design that is more in keeping with Motorola's current design language than last year's model (curr. $249 on Amazon).
For example, Motorola has switched to a wider camera housing with space for three camera lenses. Nonetheless, the new Moto G Stylus retains features from older models like a 3.5 mm headphone jack that are missing from Motorola's Edge series smartphones. As its name suggests, the Moto G Stylus 2025 also contains a built-in stylus that can be used across all first and third-party apps.
Moreover, the latest Moto G Stylus offers a 6.7-inch pOLED display that resolves at 1220p with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a built-in fingerprint scanner and 3,000 nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content. Motorola reports that a 5,000 mAh battery is also onboard with support for 15 W wireless and 68 W wired charging, as is IP68 certification against dust and water ingress.
The Moto G Stylus now comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset too, which should provide a moderate performance uplift over the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 found in last year's model. On top of that, Motorola has installed 50 MP primary (Sony Lytia 700C), 32 MP front-facing and 13 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras, although these may be unchanged from the device's 2024 edition.
The Moto G Stylus 2025 will arrive on April 17 in the US for $399 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in a choice of two colour options. By contrast, the smartphone will reach Canada a month later on May 13. Motorola has not indicated whether the device will be available in other markets yet, though.
