OnePlus 13T: Upcoming compact flagship gets compared to iPhone 16 Pro

OnePlus has yet to share the pricing and availability of its new compact flagship phone, the OnePlus 13T, but the company's president, Louis Lee, has already shared a good number of key design details of the smartphone. Just recently, Lee shared that the smartphone will not feature the iconic Alert Slider.

Instead, the OnePlus 13T will sport a new shortcut key, which, from the recent teaser, will apparently offer a similar functionality as the Action Button found in the recently released iPhone models. Louis Lee has now shared another key design aspect of the upcoming compact smartphone.

The company official has compared the display of the OnePlus 13T with the screen of the iPhone 16 Pro. Per the comparison photo, the compact flagship phone will sport slim bezels, matching Apple's flagship smartphone, and Lee highlights the "excellent bezel control" of the display with rounded corners for a comfortable grip.

However, the comparison picture doesn't show the lower bezel of the OnePlus 13T, so it's possible that the bottom bezel of the smartphone could be thicker than the other three. While Lee didn't share any specific specs, the device is expected to sport a 6.3-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution.

Past reports have also suggested that the phone will feature a short-focus optical fingerprint sensor and a metal frame. As for the other specs, AnTuTu has recently confirmed that the OnePlus 13T will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and this flagship SoC will reportedly be paired with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Other expected features of the OnePlus 13T include a 50 MP primary camera on the back with a 2x telephoto sensor, a 6,200 mAh battery, and support for 80 W fast charging (145 W Ugreen 25K Nexode power bank curr. $69.99 on Amazon). It will reportedly launch sometime in April 2025.
