Oppo reveals core specs of Find X8 Ultra ahead of April 10 launch

Oppo is set to launch the Find X8 Ultra on April 10, 2025, and ahead of the debut, the company has shared most of the core specs of the upcoming camera flagship. One of the highlights of the device is the SoC. Unlike the non-Ultra device, the upcoming phone is confirmed to pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

This flagship SoC will be paired with the in-house Oppo R100 chip, which promises to offer enhanced connectivity. The company has also confirmed that a 6,100 mAh battery will be powering the internals of the Find X8 Ultra, which is 1,100 mAh larger than the predecessor. It's said to offer up to 27 hours of video playback and be capable of withstanding extremely low temperatures.

The latest teasers have also confirmed that the Find X8 Ultra will support 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging (24K Anker 737 power bank curr. $87.99 on Amazon). So, while the battery capacity saw an improvement, the charging speeds remained the same as the predecessor, the Find X7 Ultra.

Another key detail shared by Oppo is the display specs of the Find X8 Ultra. The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite phone will sport a 2K screen with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. It's paired with an in-house P2 display chip and is said to have multiple features to offer a comfortable viewing experience.

Among the other confirmed core specs are an improved vibration motor, IP69 and IP68 water and dust protection ratings, and a five-star drop-resistance rating from SGS. Oppo has yet to share pricing and other details of the Find X8 Ultra, but it's expected to replace the Alert Slider with an Action Button-like shortcut key.
