Fujifilm has announced its latest instant camera, the Instax mini 41. The camera uses instant film that develops in front of your eyes in 90 seconds, eliminating the hassle of sending film out to be developed at a photo lab. Readers can purchase the Fujifilm Instax mini 41 starting from April 17 in Japan and by the end of April in America.
The Instax mini 41 takes photos in portrait orientation by default. It uses the mini film cartridge, which holds 10 sheets each. The instant photos contain the necessary chemicals inside the film layers to develop images in 90 seconds, eliminating extra trips to photo labs for film processing. The mini film has a photo area of 62 x 46 mm (2.44 x 1.81 in.) on a sheet measuring 86 x 54 mm (3.39 x 2.13 in.).
The instant camera comes with both auto-focus and auto-flash, simplifying picture taking in any lighting condition. The mini 41 comes with a close-up mode switch that eliminates the parallax error in the field-of-view when looking through the optical viewfinder at objects closely for proper framing. A small selfie mirror sits next to the lens so social butterflies can ensure they all fit in the photo.
