Fujifilm has unveiled the Instax LiPlay Plus, a hybrid instant camera that includes dual cameras, image printer, and sound recording capabilities.
All printed photos can have a three-second sound clip associated with them by using the Instax Mini LiPlay+ smartphone app. Audio can be recorded during photography or added afterwards from other sources. When the QR code on an Instax Sound Print photo is scanned with a smartphone, the associated sound track is played through the phone. An Instax Sound Album, a slideshow of photos with sound, can also be associated with a QR code.
Images taken by the 28 mm f/2.0 autofocusing main camera or the 23 mm f/2.2 fixed-focus selfie camera are stored in the LiPlay Plus internal memory or optional microSD card. The LiPlay+ can create photo collages in Layered Photo mode using images from both cameras and previewed on the 3.0-inch TFT color LCD monitor, which has a pixel count of approximately 920,000 dots.
By using the Instax Mini LiPlay smartphone app, owners gain remote control of the Instax LiPlay Plus for remote shooting and the ability to use the camera as a printer.
The Fujifilm Instax LiPlay+ has an MSRP of $234.95 and will be available in late October 2025 in Sand Beige and Midnight Blue colors from the Fujifilm store on Amazon.
