Beosound Premiere is B&O's new mid-range soundbar, positioned between the Beosound Stage and the Beosound Theatre. The latest model features the most unusual design of the three soundbars, with four of the ten speakers protruding from the front of the housing.
This alignment is intended to enable a larger sound stage and more convincing 3D sound, a technology that B&O calls "Wide Stage Technology". The optional wooden cover rounds off the three-dimensional design of the soundbar, while 90 LEDs on the front can illuminate the surroundings to match the music being played. Touch-sensitive buttons for controlling playback and volume are located on the top of the 93-centimeter-long, 8.5-kilogram aluminum housing.
The soundbar features a total of ten drivers, including four woofers, each with its own 70-watt amplifier, one tweeter with a 50-watt amplifier, and five full-range drivers, each with a 50-watt amplifier. Two of these drivers are front-facing, two are side-facing and one is upward-facing. This gives the soundbar a total output power of 580 watts and a frequency response of 34 Hz to 23 kHz.
B&O specifies a maximum volume of 102 dB and a bass potential of 86 dB. Additional speakers can be wirelessly connected to the soundbar via Beolink Surround. Sources can be connected either wired via HDMI eARC and USB-C, or wirelessly via Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth 5.4, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Deezer Connect.
