The brand-new soundbar is a result of the collaboration between Focal and Naim and measures about 39 inches wide and 11.6 inches deep, which is quite large but also provides enough space for a total of 15 speakers. Two of these drivers are side-firing, while two are up-firing and supposed to create spatial sound.
Three woofers, two midrange drivers and two tweeters are front-firing. The drivers are paired with amplifiers that deliver a total output of 660 watts and allow playback across a frequency range of 27 Hz to 20 kHz at volumes of up to 108dB. The sound can be adjusted via the Focal and Naim smartphone app, which asks users about the distance between the soundbar, the wall and their seating position. The soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and a night mode that turns down the bass.
The metal soundbar weighs around 34 lbs and has a volume knob that can also be used to switch between different inputs and pause playback. Moreover, the soundbar can be hooked up via Toslink or HDMI eARC. There are no analog inputs, but the soundbar offers various wireless connectivity options including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6. It further supports Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect.
