The brand-new House of Marley Vibration Rebel ANC over-ear headphones are supposed to outperform the competition with an extremely long battery life. To be more exact, the manufacturer claims up to 130 hours of playback without ANC or 75 hours with noise cancelling turned on.
Despite this, the over-ear headphones are said to be comfortable and easy to carry, thanks to a design with foldable ear cups. Furthermore, a material mix of FSC-certified wood, aluminum and "eco-friendly" fabric is intended to make the headphones relatively sustainable. The headphones also have an IPX5 rating and should be protected against sweat and light rain. Additionally, the House of Marley Vibration Rebel are equipped with dynamic 40mm drivers.
House of Marley has not provided any specific details about the drivers or the sound of these headphones, so independent reviews have to find out if the audio quality lives up to the price tag of $150. Either way, the over-ear headphones do support adaptive noise cancellation and Bluetooth 5.4, but the manufacturer has not clarified whether Bluetooth Multipoint and Hi-Fi codecs are supported.
Price and availability
The House of Marley Positive Vibration Rebel ANC are priced at $149 and come in beige or black. Details on the global launch are still pending, but since the older Vibration XL (from €229 on Amazon Germany) are also available in Europe, it is likely just a matter of time.
