The launch of Samsung's Galaxy Buds4 earbuds is likely still a few months off. Nonetheless, a reliable source has shared extensive details about the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro ahead of schedule. Contained within numerous leaked videos, the information suggests that the Galaxy Buds4 series will depart from Samsung's current Galaxy Buds3 earbuds.

Over a month has now passed since Android Authority provided a first look of sorts at the Galaxy Buds4. As we discussed at the time, the website claimed to have discovered an icon within One UI 8.5 firmware associated with the name 'Buds 4'. Later that month, GalaxyClub suggested that both the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro will ship with slight battery advantages over their predecessors.

Now, Android Authority claims to have by unpacking a Galaxy Buds app APK that Samsung will distribute as part of its eventual One UI 8.5 update. Allegedly codenamed Handel and Bach, respectively, the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro appear to diverge from the angular design of the Galaxy Buds3 series (curr. $169 on Amazon). However, leaked animations indicate that Samsung is not leaning on Apple's AirPods design aesthetic.

Instead, the Galaxy Buds4 series has a dual-tone finish with a flat stem. While Samsung appears to have removed the light bar from the Galaxy Buds3 series, gesture controls will return, as will Multi Point connectivity and adaptive noise cancellation. Moreover, Samsung has integrated head gestures that will allow you to respond to notifications and incoming calls without resorting to physical gesture controls or looking at your phone.

On top of that, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro will retain 360° audio recording and find your phone support with an updated case design. Currently, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Buds4 series alongside its Galaxy S26 series. Based on recent rumours, the company intends to launch the latter towards the end of February 2026.
