Samsung is preparing its new wireless earbuds for a launch expected next year, and we now have an early look into the upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 design. The leak comes from Android Authority, which located an icon inside the latest One UI 8.5 firmware that gives us a pretty good outline of an individual earbud.
If you found the aesthetic of the Galaxy Buds 3 a bit too sharp, this new direction may be what you were hoping for. The company appears focused on refining its existing approach after making major changes the last time around.
The icon reveals that Samsung is keeping the current stem-like style, so the general form will be familiar. The significant adjustment is a move away from the angular language of the previous models. Instead, Samsung seems to be using a more rounded and softer approach for the newer model's overall shape. This shift points toward a greater emphasis on comfort and a more polished look. The icon also clearly shows the presence of in-ear tips, which should allow for a better fit and improved comfort, particularly if you wear them for long periods. While this is not an actual image of the device, it provides a decent outline of the new design language for the Galaxy Buds 4.
Two new models are expected, the Galaxy Buds 4 and the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Samsung has not officially commented on the new earbuds, but many reports suggest we may see them launched with the Galaxy S26 series early next year. As that time gets closer, we can expect more leaks to come out that will give us more sneak peeks at the upcoming audio hardware.
