The Galaxy Buds3 Pro have been around for a while now. Launched last July alongside the cheaper Galaxy Buds3 (curr. $90 on Amazon), the Galaxy Buds3 Pro played a smaller part during Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6-focused Galaxy Unpacked event.
For some reason, Samsung decided against offering next-generation earbuds this July. Instead, the company complemented the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 with simultaneous Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) launches. Now, GalaxyClub claims that Samsung may distinguish the Galaxy Buds4 series from older models with superior overall battery life.
To recap, a recent leak indicated that the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro could look more like Apple's equivalents than their direct predecessors. To coincide with this design change, GalaxyClub reports that the Buds4 series will ship with charging cases that possess 3% higher rated battery capacities than their Galaxy Buds3 counterparts.
In theory, this rated capacity is said to have grown from 500 mAh to 515 mAh, which should correlate with a 530 mAh typical battery capacity. Potentially, Samsung may complement this capacity upgrade with a more efficient chipset to market as delivering superior battery life than their predecessors. However, we are unlikely to learn more until closer to the Galaxy Buds 4 series' official launch, which is tipped to occur alongside the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026.
