A new update is rolling out to the Amazfit Helio Strap. Version 3.3.10.3 arrives a few weeks after the company released the version 3.3.6.1 update for this wearable, which added a Tennis workout mode and a new heart rate zone chart for the Zepp workout page.
Amazfit Helio Strap software version 3.3.10.3, reported by users on Reddit, is a 3.64 MB update with two changes for the wearable. Firstly, the release notes state that users can now sync heart rate variability (HRV) data to the Apple Health app. This means that iPhone users would be able to view this data in combination with metrics collected from other devices, or to use third-party analytics tools. However, while some users have reported being able to turn on HRV data writing through the Apple Health app, others indicate that the option has not appeared for them yet. Amazfit has yet to comment on this issue. How frequently the HRV data will sync is also unclear.
The second improvement is linked to the heart rate algorithm. Amazfit states that it has optimized the model to enhance the stability of heart rate tracking with the Helio Strap. The final line in the change log points to bug fixes, though these problems are not named.
Software version 3.3.10.3 is rolling out to the Amazfit Helio Strap (curr. $99.00 at Amazon) in phases. Typically, these updates are pushed to users in the US, Canada and China first, before arriving in other regions like Europe. When it is available in your country, you will be able to trigger the installation through the Zepp app.
