Amazfit has released an update for the Active 2 (Square) smartwatch, software version 3.5.10.3. This wearable was released in June 2025 as an alternative to the Active 2 (Round) and Active 2 (Round - Premium Version).
The software version 3.5.10.3 release brings several new features and improvements to the Active 2 (Square). Users gain advanced running dynamics with two new form related metrics: Ground Contact Time and Vertical Oscillation. There is a new button-activated screenshot functionality, with users capturing the display by pressing the two buttons simultaneously. The release also adds three new workout modes: HIIT, HYROX training, and ultra-marathon.
On top of this, there are new reminders linked to the jump rope activity, and in-workout controls like raise wrist to unlock and support for direct button response. For those who use an external Bluetooth sensor to track heart rate, there is a new icon to show the source of the real-time heart rate data. Plus, Amazfit indicates that it has reduced audio lag in sports broadcasts.
Software version 3.5.10.3 is rolling out in phases to users of the Active 2 (Square) smartwatch (curr. $149.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to download it via the Zepp app. It is worth noting that the Active 2 (Square) does not share updates with the Active 2 (Round); this model received software version 6.3.10.4, a similar update earlier, in October 2025.
