Xiaomi releases new versions of outdoor Bluetooth speaker in Europe

Two new versions of the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor speaker are starting to roll out across Europe. This original product was released in this market at the end of 2024, following its reveal earlier that year.

The Xiaomi Sound Outdoor was launched in three colorways: black, red and blue. Now, the company is introducing green and gold versions of the Bluetooth speaker. In the UK, each retails for £34.99, the same price as the older variants. Images have been updated on product listings in EU countries like Germany, though the two new colorways have yet to be released in this market; here, they are expected to retail for €34.99 like their predecessors.

Aside from the different colored casing, the new gold and green versions of the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor are identical to the original model. These speakers offer an up to 30 W output with a 60 Hz to 20 KHz frequency range and a woofer boost mode. You can pair two units via Bluetooth for True Wireless Stereo sound. Plus, you can link up to 100 units for a more immersive audio experience. On top of this, there is an integrated microphone, allowing you to make hands-free calls with the speaker.

Xiaomi’s Sound Outdoor offers Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with up to 25 m (~82 ft) range. The device is equipped with a 2,600 mAh lithium-ion battery, which would provide 12 hours of playback time at 50% volume. The speaker recharges with a 15W USB-C input, and a full charge takes around 2.5 hours. It is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance, measuring 196.6 x 68.0 x 66.0 mm (~7.7 x 2.8 x 2.6 inches) and weighing 597 g (~21.1 oz). It is also worth noting that this product is a 2024 Red Dot Design Award winner. Xiaomi has not confirmed the release date of the new green and gold Xiaomi Sound Outdoor in other European countries.
