JVC Kenwood has launched the top-of-the-line Wood Master in-ear wireless earphones in Japan in two colorways—sunburst brown and piano black.
The earphones incorporate African rosewood in their hybrid diaphragms with 10 mm drivers to support Hi-Res Audio playback using the LDAC Bluetooth audio codec. They also support the standard SBC and AAC codecs. The sound can be customized through the app, with acoustic optimization based on the shape of the owner's ears and optional spatial audio, while AI noise cancellation reduces background noise during music playback and calls.
The Wood Master earbuds use Spiral Dot Pro SF ear tips, which are designed with an oval shape and have small sound openings along the inner wall. This design helps improve the reproduction of high-frequency sounds and delicate details without muddiness, according to JVC.
The housing of the earbuds is coated with a self-healing paint that automatically fills in scratches over time to help maintain their appearance. The entire unit is IP55-rated against dust and water intrusion.
The Wood Master earphones can run up to 7 hours with ANC on and recharge in 2 hours, according to JVC. The charging case can provide an additional 14 hours of runtime (ANC on). The earphones support multipoint Bluetooth 6.0 connections to up to two devices simultaneously and include a low-latency mode for gaming.
Readers in Japan can purchase the headphones from the JVC website for 41,800 yen (~$300) or Amazon Japan, with shipping beginning November 20, 2025. Readers in America will have to settle for JVC's more pedestrian choices sold on Amazon US.
