The LG C4 is a 77-inch TV that fills the largest spaces with cinema-quality images. With generous brightness, it also doesn’t require a light-controlled media room to thrive. A steep Costco discount results in the lowest sale price that the LG OLED TV has ever sold for.

Mid-range OLED TV models often demand high-end price tags. Fortunately, the discounted LG C4 has made premium movie watching and gaming more accessible. The 77-inch version offers deep blacks, effective AI-powered upscaling, and wide viewing angles. Despite a $2,499.99 MSRP at some retailers, the 4K TV is now on sale at Costco for $1,499.97.

When in stock at Amazon, the TV is typically listed for well more than $1,600. In addition to the sizeable discount, the Costco deal includes a 3-Year Allstate Protection Plan. The bonus extends warranty coverage to five years. Buyers must have a membership to avoid a surcharge.

A common shortcoming with OLED TV options is a lack of brightness in well-lit rooms. While the LG C4 doesn’t match Mini-LED competitors, it’s powerful enough to co-exist near windows. It also boasts exceptionally wide viewing angles, ensuring that the 77-inch TV can be enjoyed from any vantage point.

Where the LG OLED TV forces no compromises is when screening movies. A high contrast ratio enables darker scenes to display as filmmakers intend. According to the Rtings, HDR brightness is also sufficient to enhance vivid nature content. Another advantage the display has over rivals like the Samsung S90D is its Dolby Vision capabilities.

How the LG C4 handles gaming and older content

The 77-inch TV discounted at Costco makes overtures to competitive gamers with a maximum 144Hz refresh rate. Reviews have measured rock-bottom input lag, allowing slight inputs to reflect on screens in real-time. Unlike some cheaper 4K TVs, the C4 ships with four HDMI 2.1 ports to accommodate the most crowded scenarios.

The LG OLED TV also excels with older, lower-resolution TV shows, movies, and games. Its AI-capable processor does make a noticeable difference in cleaning up these noisy images.

Most evaluations of the LG C4 compare the TV to the Samsung S90D. The S90 has an edge in HDR brightness and color accuracy, without needing tweaks. On the other hand, the LG candidate may integrate more easily into setups with wider support for high-bitrate audio formats.

Regardless of any advantages, the Samsung display is not available at anything close to the C4’s $1,499.97 asking price. The Costco deal also includes extended protection, which should alleviate concerns about defects.
