LG Electronics has now taken the wraps off its highly anticipated lineup of 2025 OLED evo TVs, including the flagship G5 and the more affordable C5 series. Both series are currently available for pre-order in the U.S. through LG’s website and authorized retailers, with deliveries set to begin in March 2025.
The premium OLED evo G5 series TVs come with the latest Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen2, which improves brightness by 45% compared to its predecessor, LG claims. It also incorporates LG's Brightness Booster Ultimate tech for high visibility even in brightly lit rooms. The series features 4K resolution with refresh rates up to 165Hz, which also makes them ideal for gaming. More gaming-specific features include AMD FreeSync Premium, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, and an ultra-fast response time (under 0.1 milliseconds).
Additionally, the G5 supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos audio, AI Picture Pro, and AI Sound Pro, which provides virtual 11.1.2 surround audio. Smart TV functionality includes LG's latest webOS 25, built-in Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant compatibility, and support for Apple AirPlay2.
The G5 is available in sizes ranging from 55-inch to a massive 97-inch model priced at $24,999. The popular 65-inch version is priced at $3,399 and includes a supplied wall mount.
The C5 series, priced lower, starts at $1,399 for the 42-inch variant, with screen sizes going up to 83 inches priced at $5,399. This series also comes with 4K resolution with refresh rates up to 144Hz, Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen8, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and gaming-focused features such as low input lag, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and ClearMR 9000 certification.
Both the G5 and C5 series have slim designs suitable for various home spaces. Furthermore, the G5 series is backed by a 5-year warranty on its OLED panel. Pre-orders currently include promotional offers, such as up to $200 off select LG soundbars with the purchase of either series.
As mentioned earlier, availability for both lines starts in March 2025.
