BlitzWolf is now selling a new projector called the BW-VT2 Pro Max, which is available for around $290 via import from a Chinese marketplace like Banggood. This price supposedly includes import fees, but in case of a defect, customers shouldn’t expect much help from the retailer. Alternatively, other similar projectors with warranty and free returns are available on Amazon.
With that out of the way, BlitzWolf’s latest projector offers just 180 ANSI lumens, which is a very low brightness compared to conventional projectors. Accordingly, the device should be used in darker rooms or settings. Despite the low native resolution of just 960 x 540 pixels, it’s advertised as a 4K projector, which basically means that it can play 4K content, which is nothing special these days.
Setting up the BlitzWolf should be easy thanks to automatic keystone correction, and users can also look forward to a built-in 8,000mAh battery. Therefore, this projector does have to be hooked up to a power outlet, and on a full charge it can run for up to four hours in energy-saving mode. Two 3-watt speakers are built-in as well, and the BW-VT2 Pro Max can be used like a regular Bluetooth speaker if desired.
As mentioned above, external inputs aren’t necessary, since Android 9 provides access to numerous streaming services, which can stream media via the built-in WiFi module. A USB port is also available and can be used to play files from a thumb drive.
Last but not least, the projector comes with a tripod, a remote control, a carrying case and 3D compatibility via active shutter glasses. BlitzWolf further advertises a projection size of up to 300 inches, but given the low brightness, this is probably more of a theoretical capability.
