The Hisense C2 and C2 Ultra projectors are now available in Australia. These two models launched in other markets in October 2024, described as mini smart projectors for home theaters.
The C2 is a 4K Trichroma laser projector delivering up to 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness. It has an integrated gimbal stand, allowing you to project images up to 300 inches wide on your wall or ceiling. The DLP projector has a 1.2:1 throw ratio, covers 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut and supports Dolby Vision. Plus, you can quickly perfect the image with tools like auto keystone correction and auto screen fit. On top of this, there are built-in JBL speakers, a Game Mode for minimal lag and the Vidda Smart TV interface.
The C2 Ultra is a similar device said to offer premium features. These include a higher peak brightness level of 3,000 ANSI lumens and a throw ratio of 0.9-1.5:1. It has many of the same tools as the C2, including support for Dolby Vision, built-in speakers and a Game Mode. Hisense is marketing this model as suitable for gaming, with the Designed for Xbox certification. Another addition is IMAX Enhanced, for vibrant colours, high contrast and enhanced clarity.
You can now buy the Hisense C2 and C2 Utra projectors at various Australian retailers for AU$3,499 and AU$4,499, respectively. They are also sold at retailers like Amazon in the UK and the US; the Hisense C2 projector is currently reduced to $1,799.99 at Amazon US.
