The TCL C6K and C6KS TVs have started to roll out across Europe. Also known as the C61K and the C61KS, they are similar to the QM6K for the US market (curr. from $598 at Amazon), which was released at the start of the year. Both models are available in 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, and the C6K can also be purchased in 85-inch and 98-inch sizes.
The C6K is a 4K QD-Mini LED TV with up to 512 dimming zones, and 93% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It offers a 144Hz native refresh rate with MEMC 120Hz, VRR and support for Dolby Vision IQ. Gaming features include Game Master, Gamebar and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Plus, the matte HVA panel delivers an up to 7,000:1 contrast ratio, depending on the size.
Meanwhile, the cheaper C61KS 4K QD-Mini LED TVs have up to 312 dimming zones, also covering 93% of the DCI-P3 color space. The native refresh rate is lower, at 60Hz for the 50-inch model and 120Hz for the others. There is MEMC 60Hz, VRR and Doby Vision compatibility, as well as Game Master and Gamebar. Again, these models have an HVA panel with a lower maximum contrast ratio of 6,000:1.
Both the C6K and C6KS TVs feature TCL’s new Halo Control System, a technology designed to reduce blooming. They use Google TV for a wide range of streaming services and Miracast wireless screensharing. Plus, these models offer Onkyo 2.1 channel speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.
