New TCL QM6K Mini LED 4K TV with Game Accelerator 288 now available
TCL has unveiled the QM6K Mini LED 4K TV series at CES 2025. Surprisingly, this TV is now available to pre-order in the US; typically, consumers wait for several months between the product’s reveal and launch. The QM6K follows on from the 2024 Q6 TVs, with the additional M signifying that this is now a Mini LED rather than a QLED TV.
The QM6K is available in six sizes from 50 to 98 inches, with up to 500 local dimming zones. The brand’s new halo control technology is said to reduce the halo effect, and the larger sizes have an anti-glare finish on the screen to limit reflections. The 4K panel has a native 144Hz refresh rate with a 288Hz VRR game accelerator, as seen on the recent C11K. Other features include support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, Filmmaker mode, IMAX Enhanced and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The Google TV Smart OS provides access to many streaming services, and you can physically connect devices through ports including four HDMI (one eARC), USB 3.0 and SPDIF.
Plus, there is a built-in Onkyo 2.1 channel speaker system compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X. TCL is describing this TV, with an ultra-slim and bezel-less design, as an “affordable premium” model. You can now pre-order the TCL QM6K QD-Mini LED 4K TV in the US, with prices starting from $749.99; a complete price list is below. For context, the 50-inch Q65 QLED TV is currently available for $249 at Amazon. Plus, the company is currently offering customers a free TCL Q75H 5.1.2 Ch soundbar worth $599.99. It is worth noting that the TV is expected to ship in four to six weeks.
