The TCL T8C QLED HDR Smart TV is now available in more European countries. This model arrived in the UK several weeks ago and can now be found at retailers in countries like France, Spain, and Germany.
The T8C has a 4K resolution and is marketed with 144Hz Motion Clarity Pro, though it has a native 120Hz refresh rate. The HVA Screen boosts contrast, with a 5,000:1 or 6,000:1 contrast ratio, depending on the size. Plus, the TV is said to deliver up to 350 nits brightness, 93% DCI-P3 color space coverage and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
Gaming features of the T8C include 288Hz Game Accelerator, ALLM, support for AMD FreeSync Premium and superwide screen ratios of 21:9 and 32:9. The model uses Google TV as its operating system, allowing users to stream content from various apps, control the TV with voice commands and wirelessly cast with Google Chromecast and Miracast. There are built-in Onkyo 2.1 channel speakers, compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X technologies. On top of this, there is Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, and ports including four HDMI, USB-A and LAN.
