Hisense has revealed more details about the U9, or U9QG, ULED TV. This product has been fully unveiled alongside other models in the brand’s 2025 range. Some specifications of this 2025 model were discussed at CES 2025 when the company launched the QM6K QD-Mini LED TV (55-inch curr. $598 at Amazon).
We already knew some details about the Hisense U9N, such as its 5,300 local dimming zones and a peak brightness level of 5,000 nits. However, it is worth noting that this is only achieved in a concentrated area of the screen. The display has a 165Hz native refresh rate, QLED technology and support for Dolby Vision IQ, IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker mode. Plus, there is an Ultra LR panel that reduces reflections. For gaming, this model offers tools like auto low latency mode (ALLM), Dolby Vision Gaming and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification.
The U9 is a Google TV, allowing users to stream content from a wide range of services, and it means you can use Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. Other features include Wi-Fi 6E and a range of ports including HDMI eARC. While the smaller model has built-in speakers for a 4.1.2 sound, the larger two offer a 5.1.2 channel experience, all supporting Dolby Atmos.
The U9 will be available in a new, smaller 65-inch size, as well as 75-inch and 85-inch versions. Earlier reports suggested that the latter two would retail in the US for $2,999 and $3,999, respectively. This TV is expected to launch later this year, though Hisense has yet to provide an exact launch date.
