Sharp has set the release date for two new soundbars and the accompanying rear speakers. These soundbars are called Sharp HT-SBW53121 and HT-SBW55121, while the optional speakers carry the model number HT-SPR52021. They all belong to the new Sharp Q product line, which aims to combine modern technology with an elegant design at reasonable prices.
The highlights in this new lineup are the two Sharp Q soundbars. The HT-SBW53121 features 3.1.2 channels, while the higher-end HT-SBW55121 sports a 5.1.2 setup. Both support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which can produce an immersive 3D surround sound.
In order to do so, the Sharp HT-SBW53121 is equipped with two upward-firing speakers, while the Sharp HT-SBW55121 features built-in side speakers to provide an even wider soundstage. These two new Sharp Q soundbars have been fine-tuned in collaboration with Devialet’s acoustic engineers.
Optionally, both Sharp soundbars can be expanded with the new HT-SPR52021 rear speakers. This turns the HT-SBW53121 soundbar into a full 5.1.4-channel surround system, while the HT-SBW55121 can be upgraded to a 7.1.4 setup. The rear speakers connect wirelessly and don’t need any audio cables.
According to the Japanese manufacturer, the two new Sharp Q soundbars and additional speakers will hit the European market in April 2025 in two color choices, namely Black/Blue and Gray/Silver. The suggested retail price for the smaller HT-SBW53121 soundbar is €399, and the larger HT-SBW55121 costs €549. The HT-SPR52021 rear speakers will have an MSRP of €239.
