Amazon has dropped the price of the JBL Bar 700 soundbar by 33% for a $300 savings off the MRSP of $899.95. This is just $50 above its Christmas low of $549.95. The 620-watt sound system reproduces immersive Dolby Atmos sound with 5.1 channels using seven speakers and a wireless 300-watt subwoofer.

Two 40-watt wireless rear speakers can be placed anywhere behind the listeners to create immersive surround sound. They recharge by attaching to the soundbar or can be powered by USB-C power supplies. The 300-watt subwoofer is also wireless and can be placed anywhere near an AC socket.

Automatic room calibration optimizes the sound in seconds to make full use of the sound system's 35 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. JBL PureVoice dialogue enhancement ensures all dialogue can be clearly heard and understood. Users can adjust settings using Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, or Google Assistant voice control, the remote control, or JBL One smartphone app.

The soundbar can be connected to any source that has an optical audio or HDMI output. It can also stream audio over Apple AirPlay, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, and Google Chromecast.

The JBL Bar 700 soundbar measures 34.8 x 2.2 x 4.7 inches (884 x 56 x 120 mm) and weighs 7.04 pounds (3.2 kg). This allows the speaker to fit comfortably in front of smaller TVs and monitors.

The subwoofer measures 12 x 17.3 x 12 inches (305 x 440.4 x 305 mm) and weighs 22 pounds (10 kg). Each rear speaker measures 5.7 x 2.2 x 4.7 inches (145 x 56 x 120 mm) and weighs 1.4 pounds (0.65 kg).
