After a short 1-year hiatus, Sony has jumped back on the QD-OLED train with the launch of the new Bravia 8 II. That said, the latest flagship OLED TV from the iconic Japanese brand is not available in the popular 77-inch size, which is why home theater fans with a large living room might want to consider the Sony Bravia A95L instead.
Just like the aforementioned Bravia 8 II, the A95L relies on a Quantum-dot OLED panel that offers even more vibrant colors than TVs with regular WOLED panels. On top of that, the 2023 set has once again been marked down by a substantial $1,001 or 20% on Amazon, which results in a sale price of $3,998 including free shipping for the 77-inch Sony A95L. This offer matches the previous all-time low according to Camelcamelcamel and can also be found at Best Buy and Sony's official online store.
Even though the A95L has been on the market for two years, it won't disappoint demanding users thanks to a peak brightness of over 1,000 nits in some HDR scenes. Thanks to two HDMI 2.1 ports, gamers can play their favorite titles at 4K at up to 120Hz, and VRR and ALLM are supported as well. However, the TV experts at Rtings noted that the Sony OLED TV had noticeably elevated black levels in rooms with lots of light.
That being said, the 77-inch Bravia A95L OLED is still a viable choice for those who appreciate Sony's image processing, motion handling and the versatile Google TV operating system, which is not found on Samsung or LG televisions. The latter are steeply discounted as well and might offer the better price-performance ratio on paper, but some users might still want to take this Amazon deal for the A95L into consideration.
