Deal | TCL Q7 QLED TV gets up to 38% off in new sale across three screen sizes
Launched in 2023, the TCL Q7/Q750G is a mid-range TV that aims to bring features like superb HDR performance and high refresh rate gameplay at an accessible price. However, being two years old, the TV can often be found retailing at less than its list price, which makes the TCL Q7 a pretty solid deal considering that the TV has many redeeming qualities.
Best Buy has now dropped prices for 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch TCL Q7 TVs. As such, the TCL Q7 is now priced at:
- $399.99 for the 55-inch screen size
- $499 for the 65-inch screen size
- $679 for the 75-inch screen size
In the lineup, the 75-inch TCL Q7 has gotten the biggest discount, standing at a massive $420.99 vs the $1,099.99 list price (linked at the end).
As mentioned above, the TCL Q7 has a lot going for it. Per Rtings’ review of the 65-inch TCL Q7 variant with 160 Local Dimming Zones, the TV excels at HDR media playback, including HDR gaming, and video games. Additionally, the TV also handles low-quality content smoothing and 4K upscaling quite well, which is good news for fans of old movies and shows.
Looking at some numbers, Rtings measured a native contrast of 9,614:1 and an amazing contrast of 80,160:1 with Local Dimming set to “High”. This impressive contrast is complemented by 96% DCI-P3 coverage and good color volume. So, combined with high HDR brightness, the TCL Q7 delivers an excellent HDR experience.
Thankfully, the TCL Q7 is also pretty good for SDR content, as the TV boasts a Real Scene Peak Brightness of more than 540 nits in SDR.
Unfortunately, the TCL Q7 requires user calibration. The TV is reportedly not accurate out of the box. While we are on the subject of things that could be better, the TCL Q7’s VA panel isn’t suitable for a wide seating arrangement, as it has subpar viewing angles.
Finally, gamers should know that the TCL Q750G has a 144 Hz native refresh rate, supports Nvidia G-Sync/AMD FreeSync, has low input lag, and good response time. The TV also supports a max 4K@144 Hz output.
In short, if you are on a tight budget and want something that will handle both media streaming and gaming well, the TCL Q7 QLED 4K TVs on sale present an excellent value proposition.
