TCL has announced the C9K QD-Mini LED for the European market. As its name suggests, this model sits at the top of the brand’s 2025 C-Series TVs, above the C8K, C7K and C6K. It is less powerful than the recently revealed X11K QD-Mini LED, which is also on the way to Europe; it has already launched in the US, where the 85-inch model costs $6,999.99 (Amazon).
The TCL C9K will be available in three sizes: 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch. The TV has a 4K resolution with a native 144Hz refresh rate and 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It uses the Gen 7 Mini LED backlight, with up to 5,148 dimming zones and 6,000 nits peak brightness. There is support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, Filmmaker Mode and IMAX Enhanced certification. Plus, the CrystGlow WHVA panel is said to provide a wider viewing angle and an anti-reflective coating.
The C9K has Google TV, running on Android 12, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity. It works with Amazon Alexa voice commands, and is also compatible with Apple HomeKit. There is also Game Master Pro 3.0, Game Accelerator 288Hz and AMD FreeSync certification. Ports include HDMI 2.1, USV 3.0, USB 2.0, Ethernet and a headphone jack. On top of this, there is an integrated 6.2.2 channel sound system from Bang & Olufsen, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X.
The TCL C9K QD-Mini LED TV is expected to be available in select European markets in the next few months; the company has yet to confirm an exact release date or specify a list of countries in which it will launch. Prices are expected to start from €1,999 for the 65-inch model.
