High-end TVs rarely get massive discounts - especially not this soon after launch - but Samsung’s 2024 QN900D Neo QLED lineup has just dropped to its lowest Amazon prices yet. The entire series, which includes 65-, 75-, and 85-inch models, is now sitting up to $3,000 below its original launch price (in some cases). To be clear, the 65-inch QN900D is going for $2,997.99, down from its original $4,997.99. The 75-inch model has dropped to $3,997.99 from $6,297.99, while the largest 85-inch variant sees the biggest discount - now priced at $4,997.99 instead of its $7,997.99 launch price. Please note that these discounts are available over on Samsung's official website as well.
The QN900D series is Samsung’s flagship Neo QLED 8K release from last year, and it packs in the company’s best display tech to date. You get native 8K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an upgraded backlight system built on Quantum Matrix Technology Pro with Mini LEDs. That allows the TV to handle subtle highlights and deep shadows more accurately, thanks to tighter control of local dimming zones. Other features include Real Depth Enhancer Pro, Motion Enhancer Pro, and the new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which handles AI upscaling and object recognition in real time.
Rtings.com gave the QN900D an overall score of 8.3, calling it "a great TV for mixed usage," with especially high marks for HDR gaming, PC monitor use, and video games, all rated at 8.6 or higher. The input lag was measured at just 8.2ms at 4K 120Hz, and the TV also supports 4K 240Hz with Display Stream Compression, which makes it a strong choice for high-end console and PC gaming setups. The only real downside noted was its limited viewing angles, which can cause color shifting when sitting too far to the side.
For audio, Samsung includes Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Pro across the board, with 6.2.4 channel audio directly from the TV. There’s also full support for voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, plus AirPlay 2 support for Apple users.
If you're looking to move into 8K territory without going completely overboard, this price drop brings the QN900D models far closer to premium 4K TV territory. Add in low input lag, and smart gaming features like VRR, the deal becomes harder to overlook.
