LG US has announced the addition of the Xbox app to its smart HDTVs, enabling access to Xbox Cloud Gaming. This online gaming service streams popular games like Fortnite and Halo without the need for a game console or fast gaming computer.
Users with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership can access hundreds of games and play them all for just $19.99 per month using a USB/Bluetooth-connected game controller.
The app is available on LG TVs and select monitors running webOS 24 and above, including HDTVs dating back to 2022. LG StanbyMe portable screens will receive the app soon.
LG webOS provides access to many features, including hundreds of free TV channels, streaming video services like Netflix, Google Calendar notifications, and control of LG smart home appliances. The OS has also provided access to the Nvidia GeForce Now game streaming service for many years.
Readers who want to enjoy the convenience of Xbox Cloud Gaming on their TVs may want to consider buying this LG 4K OLED HDTV on Amazon.
