Hardly any time has passed since LG started offering a new 45-inch OLED gaming monitor globally. For context, the company released the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A globally earlier this week as the first example of its 5K2K WOLED panel technology.
Now, it has complemented this 45-inch gaming monitor with a similarly named monitor called the UltraGear OLED 45GX90SA. The subject of a surprise launch in Japan nearly two months ago, the UltraGear OLED 45GX90SA utilises an older WOLED panel with a 3,440 x 1,440 (1440p) resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 240 Hz refresh rate. According to LG, the panel offers 0.03 ms GtG response times too, as well as 275 nits peak SDR brightness.
In other words, it appears that the UltraGear OLED 45GX90SA contains the same WOLED panel as the UltraGear OLED 45GS95QE (curr. $1,339.99 on Amazon). However, LG has added its webOS 24 interface to provide access to streaming services like Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix and Prime Video. On top of that, webOS 24 provides the UltraGear OLED 45GX90SA with access to Amazon Luna, Nvidia GeForce Now and Blacknut game streaming services directly.
Currently, LG is selling the UltraGear OLED 45GX90SA for $1,699.99 in the US. At the time of writing, the monitor is also available at the same price point via Best Buy. Meanwhile, the UltraGear OLED 45GX90SA comes in at €1,699 across the Eurozone and £1,499 in the UK or £1,464 on Amazon. Please see LG's website for more details.
