The IPS monitor promises 99% DCI-P3 colors, HDR400 support, and even touchscreen functionality with a Kickstarter set for the end of April.

Larger screens have the potential to increase productivity, but they also tend to take up a lot of space on the desk especially if VESA mounting isn't an option. To address the issue, JGF will soon be launching the ultrathin non-touch 27F1 and touch-enabled 27F1-T designed for creatives working in tight workspaces. The 27F1 series is unique for being extraordinarily thin at just 5 mm with a 0.55 mm OGS (one-glass solution) overlay and an integrated kickstand.

Core specifications are also impressive including the HDR400 IPS display with 99% DCI-P3 coverage, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit colors, and a DeltaE of <1. The rear kickstand can be removed to support VESA mounting if desired.

  • 27-inch 4K 3840 x 2160 native resolution, HDR400, Glossy
  • 10-point capacitive 4096 pressure level touchscreen (optional)
  • 1500:1 contrast ratio
  • Up to 500 nits
  • 60 Hz
  • 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, 98% AdobeRGB
  • 3x USB-C (2x Thunderbolt 3 + 1x USB-C)

Keep in mind that the monitor is mainly targeting professionals and not gamers as evident by its low 60 Hz native refresh rate and wider 10-bit colors. Its touchscreen was also designed around Mac gestures and so Windows compatibility will likely be more limited as a result.

Additionally, the monitor requires an included external 65 W power brick to run since its screen is too thin to integrate a PSU. It's thankfully not a proprietary adapter and so most 65 W USB-C adapters should be compatible with the monitor.

Exact prices and launch dates are still unknown at this time, but the Kickstarter should reveal more when it goes live later this month.
