Sony's high-end Bravia models are some of the most expensive TVs in the consumer segment, and the Japanese company's 2023 flagship was certainly no exception. To make things worse, Sony has yet to introduce a direct successor to the Bravia A95L, which has kept prices for the beautiful QD-OLED extremely high.
Fortunately, Amazon has now introduced a significant discount to date for the Sony Bravia A95L OLED and is selling the big 77-inch model variant for $3,998 including free shipping. This constitutes a 20% discount in comparison to the original list price of $4,999. Most importantly, Camelcamelcamel's price history shows that this is Amazon's lowest price ever for the well-performing Sony OLED TV and beats the previous all-time low by another $400.
As mentioned above, the Bravia A95L is equipped with a Samsung-made Quantum-Dot OLED panel with 120Hz and very vivid and bright colors. This is also the most obvious advantage over the usual WOLED technology that is found inside the LG G4 and the upcoming G5. Except for the fact that just two out of four HDMI ports support the latest 2.1 standard, the television experts didn't find any noteworthy weaknesses. With a peak brightness of over 1,400 nits for small HDR details, the Sony A95L OLED is still one of the best TVs on the market, which should justify the discounted by still lofty sale price that some enthusiasts might want to take advantage of.
