Released in 2023 at a price of $1,600, the 55-inch Sony A75L OLED TV is now on sale at a total discount of 37.5% vs launch price. This corresponds to massive $600 savings, resulting in the lowest Sony A75L price to date.

Sony Bravia TVs are regarded by many as some of the best options on the market in terms of picture quality, reliability, and factory calibration. This, coupled with the brand recognition that Sony enjoys in North America, makes the Sony TVs more expensive than their similarly positioned and speced counterparts from brands like Samsung, LG, TCL, etc.

However, as with all TVs, you can often find the Sony Bravia TVs on sale. One such promotion has now pushed the price of the Sony A75L 55-inch 4K OLED TV to just $999.99 at Best Buy. The Sony A75L usually retails for $1,200 or above, making Best Buy’s price at least $200 less than the usual rate (linked at the end).

Moreover, according to slickdeals’ price tracker, the Sony A75L’s Best Buy price is the lowest the TV has ever been.

Sony A75L is well worth $1,000

Per RTINGS’ Sony A75L review, the Sony Bravia A75L delivers inky deep blacks, almost infinite contrast, and superb viewing angles thanks to the WOLED panel. The TV also boasts 4K@120 Hz output which, when coupled with VRR and low input lag, makes the Sony A75L a treat for both PC and console gamers.

People who watch old TV shows/movies will also be quite happy with the Sony A75L, as RTINGS notes good low-res content upscaling and content smoothing.

Looking at some numbers, the Sony A75L OLED TV shoots up to 685 nits and 390 nits of Peak 2% Window brightness in HDR and SDR, respectively. So, the Sony A75L is respectably bright but not anything impressive. If you want something brighter without breaking the bank, a mid-range Mini-LED TV could be a better option.

For color performance, the Sony A75L enjoys solid color accuracy out of the box alongside almost full DCI-P3 coverage and excellent color volume. RTINGS has a guide to calibrate the TV for even better accuracy.

Putting it all together, the Sony A75L is an excellent mid-range OLED TV. The TV can handle everything from media streaming to gaming rather well thanks to its solid picture quality and features like 120 Hz VRR. So, a $1,000 asking price seems like a pretty good deal.
