TCL showed the new mid-range QM6K and QM7K Mini-LED TVs at CES 2025. While the QM7K is supposed to be the better TV, the considerably cheaper QM6K is perhaps the TV most people will ever need. It comes in a range of sizes, from 55 to 85 inches, and starts at just $799.99 under normal conditions.
However, two months after its initial release, the TCL QM6K is already enjoying a deep discount. Amazon has now dropped the 55-inch TCL QM6K price to $599.99 (linked at the end). This $200 discount brings the TV to a record-low price per camelcamelcamel.
TCL QM6K delivers a stellar picture
The TCL QM6K QD-Mini LED TV features a 4K resolution, up to 144 Hz of native refresh rate, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The TV also packs an Onkyo 2.1 speaker system with two subwoofers and supports almost all the major HDR/audio formats including HDR 10 and Dolby Atmos.
When it comes to the picture quality, the TCL QM6K is high performer. According to Digital Trends’ review of the 65-inch 65QM6K variant, TCL has gotten a lot right with the QM6K. For instance, the TV boasts a maximum 10% Window brightness of 650 nits. The brightness was noticeably higher in HDR where the TCL QM6K managed around 750 nits in a 25% Window. Moreover, the TV also reportedly has superb color accuracy alongside 94% of DCI-P3 coverage. When combined with excellent black levels, the TCL QM6K should make for an excellent viewing experience no matter the content.
Finally, Digital Trends also reports that, despite using an HVA panel which traditionally suffers from bad viewing angles, the TCL QM6K has wide viewing angles. So, folks who fret about picture distortion at extreme angles won’t need to worry that much.
All in all, the TCL QM6K is a worthy mid-range TV. So, for $200 less than the launch price, the value proposition offered by the TCL QM6K is pretty hard to beat.
