The TCL K7G Plus Bronze Brown smart door lock is now available in China. This smart home device offers facial recognition and fingerprint scanning alongside other unlocking methods. Plus, there is a larger built-in display on the internal part of the lock, which can show images from the integrated camera.

TCL has launched the new K7G Plus Bronze Brown smart door lock in China. There are multiple ways to unlock your door with the K7G Plus, including using facial recognition. According to TCL, the 3D structured light technology allows the lock to recognise your face in under one second.

Other unlocking methods for the TCL K7G Plus include a fingerprint scanner, a password, NFC, Bluetooth and a physical key. The built-in camera can also be used to see people at your door, with images shown internally on the integrated 4.5-inch IPS screen. On top of this, there are features such as an infrared night vision mode, automatic locking and a child lock mode. According to TCL, the smart lock’s 4,200mAh battery allows it to run for up to six months between charges.

You can now buy the TCL K7G Plus smart door lock in China for CNY 1,699 (~$232). It is unclear whether or when this product could reach other markets like the US, where you can already buy models like the TCL D1 Pro Palm Vein Smart Lock (curr. $149.99 at Amazon).
