The Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus is now available in Europe, where it is known as the Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus EU. The smart home product was shown at CES earlier this year, following its debut at IFA in September 2024.
Aqara describes the Panel Hub S1 Plus as a “premium smart home control panel”. It offers two relay switches and six wireless switches, with support for both Matter and Zigbee 3.0. This allows the hub to connect with a wide range of smart home products. You can control connected devices via the integrated 6.9-inch touch panel, where you can also monitor your energy usage via a series of reports. Users can set up ten customized dashboards tailored to their needs using function-related cards.
Plus, you can view video streams from compatible cameras or video doorbells on the screen, and built-in microphones allow you to have two-way conversations with visitors. The panel also has an integrated proximity sensor, activating the screen when someone is detected up to 2.5 m (~8.2 ft) away. Alternative methods for controlling smart home products linked to the hub include a smartphone app or popular voice assistants like Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant.
You can now buy the Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus in various European countries like the UK, the Netherlands, France and Germany. It retails for £289.99/€289.99 and is available from the brand’s online store or at Amazon. It is unclear when the US version of the product, which benefits from the addition of a speaker, will launch in the US.
