The Philips Hue app has been updated to version 5.34. The latest release is available for both iOS and Android users. However, there is a difference between the two versions this time.
The change log for both versions introduces the new Arming schedule Automation. This feature was spotted shortly after the previous update, version 5.33. It was initially locked and was not mentioned in the accompanying release notes. A few days later, users reported that the feature had become available. However, this is the first official announcement from Philips Hue.
The Arming schedule Automation allows you to set specific times for Hue Secure products, like the Battery Camera (curr. $179.99 at Amazon), to be switched on or off. You can find the tool under the Automations Tab; it is towards the bottom of the list when you click the ‘+’ icon. Here, you can select up to eight time slots, with the ability to set up each day of the week individually and create multiple schedules.
In the change log for the Android app, Philips Hue also mentions a new split view for foldable phones. According to the company, this allows users to view more controls at once. You can download the Philips Hue app version 5.34 from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
