The Aqara Light Switch H2 EU has been launched in Europe. The smart home accessory was spotted on the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) website last year, then shown at IFA 2024 and again at CES 2025. There are two options to choose from: two buttons (one channel) and four buttons (two channels).
The Aqara Light Switch H2’s top button or buttons can be converted to wireless switches, allowing you to control smart home devices or broader scenes. Users can choose from Single-Press or Multi-Function modes, with the latter providing a broader range of controls. You can monitor the power consumption of connected devices in the Aqara Home apps. With both Matter-over-Thread and Zigbee connectivity, other remote control options include the Apple Home app, Home Assistant, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Plus, the switch will auto-disconnect to prevent overloading or overheating.
It fits standard System 55 frames, measuring 3.39 x 3.39 x 1.77 inches (86 × 86 × 45 mm) itself, and Aqara suggests that support for both neutral and no-neutral wiring helps to simplify installation. You can now buy the Aqara Light Switch H2 2 Button-1 Channel and 4 Buttons-2 Channel products for £41.99/€41.99 and £44.99/€44.99, respectively. It is unclear whether or when a US variant of the smart home device will launch.
